Denver Public Library: Saturday Sessions - Haunting: Victoria Lundy On Theremin

Saturday, November 21, 2015 - 2:00pm - 3:00pm
Movies & Music Room- Level 1

Fresh City Life is pleased to host the library's first theremin concert. This rare instrument was invented by Leon Theremin nearly 100 years ago and is one of the oldest electronic musical instruments. The fascinating interaction between the player and the instrument is a marvel; the musician's every motion controls and affects the pitch and volume. Victoria Lundy takes her audience on a journey under the earth, detouring into more traditional music, then into the air and out into space, exploring the expressive qualities of the theremin.
Saturday, November 21, 2-3 p.m., Movies & Music Room
